some really fine moments
somewhat sad, seems the bass is lacking in all versions of this show ... the Fink SBD seems to have a bit better bass response than this one but i'm a sucker for all things Charlie Miller.
one of the better early-80s first sets in memory--Candyman is top shelf as JG incorporates the Leslie organ speaker setting throughout; a kickass Birdsong with some tasty interplay between Brent and Jerry; and if there is a better LL>Supplication out there i haven't heard it.
there's an AUD patch at the beginning of El Paso but otherwise this recording flows smoothly.

Anytime Birdsong goes over 10 minutes, it's a good thing.

good somewhat different sounding SBD
the SBD's from the 1st half of the year generally lack bass, etc
from May on the SBD's are better, more fatter bass, better mixes etc
this show has a tad bit of 'echo' added to the vocals which adds ambiance so the vocals arent too hot etc works well for tenn jed lazy lightnin, scarlet and really the whole show.

Great Wharf Rat
As usual, another version of Wharf Rat that I listened to 3 times in a row before proceeding to the end. Nice concert altogether as usual.

Great show and video
Is only a small portion of this AWESOME show but still get to see what I saw so many years before. Doubt I was even in view of the stage cause I know surely boogied my ass off all night at this show.

Very nice
Well recorded and an excellent show as well. There are some brief AUD patches but they aren't terribly intrusive or annoying. The show features some excellent playing by Jerry and the band. Superb versions of Bird Song, Lazy Lightning/Supplication (one of the best I've heard btw) and an excellent Scarlett/Fire and Lost Sailor/Saint, the jam coming out of Saint and high energy renditions of the songs at the end of the second set make this a must hear show.
